Diancie Glitz and Glam Special Research Story
Diancie's return to Pokemon GO with the Glitz and Glam Special Research involves a series of tasks divided into six parts. The six-part Glitz and Glam Special Research was made available globally for free starting May 1, 2024.
If you are intent on getting yourself a Diancie in Pokemon GO, here are the series of tasks you have to complete in the Glitz and Glam Special Research Story.
Glitz and Glam (1/6)
The first set of tasks in the Glitz and Glam Special Research is pretty easy. It just involves spinning PokeStops or gyms and catching and powering up Pokemon. Here are more details regarding the first set of tasks:

| Power up Pokemon 10 times | Nosepass Encounter (can be shiny) |
| Catch 20 Pokemon | 3× Pinap Berry |
Completing the first set of the Diancie Glitz and Glam Pokemon GO Special Research Story rewards players with 2,000 XP, three Lure Modules, and an encounter with Roggenrola that can be shiny.
Glitz and Glam (2/6)
The difficulty level of the special research tasks slightly increases in the second set of tasks for the Glitz and Glam Special Research. These might be tedious but here are the details of the second set of Glitz and Glam Special Research tasks:

| Power up Pokemon 20 times | 3× Pinap Berry |
| Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokemon | Swirlix Encounter |
Completing the second set of tasks of the Diancie Glitz and Glam Pokemon GO Special Research Story rewards players with 2,000 XP, one Incense, and an encounter with Sableye that can be shiny.
Glitz and Glam (3/6)
The difficulty level in the third batch of tasks in the Glitz and Glam Special Research remains the same. Thus, the following tasks won't break any sweat to complete.

| Catch 15 different species of Pokemon | 3× Pinap Berry |
Completing the third set of tasks of the Diancie Glitz and Glam Pokemon GO Special Research Story rewards players with 2,000 XP, one Lucky Egg, and an encounter with Carbink.
Glitz and Glam (4/6)
Just like the previous batches, the following tasks in the fourth set of the Glitz and Glam Special Research should be easy especially since you've progressed this far already.

| Power up Pokemon 25 times | 10× Great Ball |
| Catch 30 Pokemon | 10× Ultra Ball |
Completing the fourth set of tasks of the Diancie Glitz and Glam Pokemon GO Special Research Story rewards players with 2,000 XP, 2,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Diancie.
However, if you were able to get a Diancie during the GO Fest 2023's exclusive special research then the supposed encounter becomes Diancie Candy instead.
Glitz and Glam (5/6)
The fifth set of tasks in the Glitz and Glam Special Research requires quite a lot of resources to complete. Given that the previous tasks had players grinding, these tasks should be relatively quick to finish.

Completing the fifth set of tasks of the Diancie Glitz and Glam Pokemon GO Special Research Story rewards players with 2,000 XP. 3× Golden Razz Berries, and 3× Diancie Mega Energy.

Every last set of tasks in special research stories is usually just freebies, and the Glitz and Glam Special Research is no exception to that!

Diancie in Pokemon GO
Diancie was first released in Pokemon GO through the GO Fest last year. Its release was also accompanied by its Mega Form that boosts both Rock-type and Fairy-type Pokemon when active.
