With Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell set to hit the market as a free agent, there is plenty of speculation regarding his next landing spot. It appears the Baltimore Ravens are among the teams seriously interested in his services.

Bell would certainly be a major upgrade at the running back position. Unfortunately, his price tag may be a bit too steep for the Ravens:

According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic:

The sense around the team is that it’s unlikely the Ravens will be a serious suitor for Bell. Team officials love the former Pittsburgh Steeler and are intrigued by the fit, but DeCosta has a lot to do and only moderate salary cap room.

Head coach John Harbaugh made it clear that running back Gus Edwards will be the starter going into the offseason. The rookie was able to etch out an integral role for himself in the backfield last year.

With running backs Alex Collins, Buck Allen, and Ty Montgomery all set to hit free agency, Edwards now has a stronghold on the touches moving forward. This means that Baltimore will be in serious need of some depth this offseason.

Bell would certainly be an ideal fit in this run-heavy offense. The prospect of him and quarterback Lamar Jackson in the same backfield would be more than enough to keep defensive coordinators up at night.

Unfortunately, Baltimore has a number of voids to fill on their roster and not much cap room o do it with.

As a result, the Ravens could be inclined to find another running back in the 2019 NFL Draft.
