Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins was arrested following a car accident on Friday morning, per the Baltimore County Police Department.

Police responded to a report of a car that had crashed into a tree in Owings Mills, Md. at about 6:48 a.m. The accident occurred about a mile away from the Ravens' team facility.

Collins was then arrested. Charges made against him are not yet known.

Ravens vice president of public relations Chad Steele says that the team is aware of the incident and has spoken to police.

It it not yet known whether or not Collins was driving at the time of the crash.

The 24-year-old is set to become a restricted free agent and is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he rushed for 411 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 3.6 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 15 receptions for 105 yards and a score.

Collins, who played his collegiate football at the University of Arkansas, was originally selected by Baltimore in the fifth round (171st pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He played in 11 games during his rookie season, finishing with 125 yards while reaching the end zone once on the ground.

The following year, Collins racked up 973 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 4.6 yards per attempt in an impressive sophomore campaign. He also caught 23 passes for 187 yards.

The Ravens won 10 games this past season and captured the AFC North division title. They then went on to lose to the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
