The 100th NFL season is one of celebration as they name the members of the NFL All-Time Team. Baltimore Ravens legend Ed Reed is one of the secondaries named to the team, and Bill Belichick will be the first man to tell you why he deserves his spot in the NFL.

The NFL posted on their official Twitter account a panel that included respected New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. There, they talk about Reed's ability. The Patriots coach thinks Reed is easily one of the most elite players who ever padded up.

The video featured footage of Belichick and Reed on the field. He gave the legend some of the highest praise he could give to a defender.

“You're the best free safety that has ever played this game that I've seen,” Belichick told Reed. “You're awesome.”

During the panel discussing his inclusion, Belichick continued to rain down praises to the former Baltimore Ravens superstar.

“I'm going to tell you right now: Ed Reed should be in the Top 100 players and in the Professional Football Hall of Fame just for his ability to block punts. Forget about everything else, I'll start with that. None better.

Belichick was also raving about the incredible interception he made against Peyton Manning when he was still with the Indianapolis Colts. He made it seem to Manning that he was going to the middle but immediately ran to the left and get to the ball.

“He opens in the middle of the field. As soon as he takes to steps to the midfield, he turns his back on the quarterback and beats Wayne to the ball. Best play I've ever seen a free safety make.”

Ed Reed spent 12 years in the league, 11 of those seasons with the Ravens. He made 643 tackles, 13 fumble recoveries, and 64 interceptions for 1590 yards and seven pick-6s.
