Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens received some good news on Monday with Week 1 just around the corner. Wide receiver Marquise Brown will finally return to practice after suffering a hamstring injury on July 28th.

Brown is undoubtedly one of the Ravens' most important offensive weapons. In 2020, he collected eight touchdowns and six in his last six games. The WR was also key in the playoffs, collecting 11 catches for 196 yards. Baltimore is already dealing with other injury problems, with wideout Rashod Bateman sidelined with a core problem. Their first-string running back in J.K. Dobbins just tore his ACL as well and will miss the entire 2021 season.

Brown did struggle to find chemistry with Jackson at times for the Ravens in 2020, but they will be hoping their strong conclusion to the campaign will carry over to this year. Even with Dobbins out, Jackson and Gus Edwards should still be relied upon to carry the team on the ground in their run-heavy offense. Nonetheless, the acquisition of Sammy Watkins alongside the return of Marquise Brown should give their franchise QB no shortage of targets when he can't run the ball himself.

The Ravens kick off their season on September 13th on Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
