Rumors linking All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Baltimore Ravens became a hot topic during the offseason. However, the Ravens seem to deviate and are now looking to bring in another veteran wideout in Dez Bryant. The former Dallas Cowboy is in Baltimore and is set to work out for the team this week.

2019 NFL MVP and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson chimed in on what he thought about Bryant:

“We’ve got a lot of great receivers on the team right now,” Jackson said, via the Raven's website. “It’s up to the front office. I’ve been seeing Dez Bryant on Instagram and stuff like that, running his routes, competing against cornerbacks. He’s looking pretty good on social media. If the front office likes him, we’ll have to see when he gets here.”

The rumored Baltimore target last saw action on the gridiron during the 2017 season before the Cowboys released him at the end of the season after eight years with the team. His final season in Dallas saw him tally a total of 838 receiving yards on 69 receptions and 6 scored touchdowns through 16 appearances as a starter.

Nine weeks into the 2018 season, Bryant agreed to a one-year, $1.25 million deal with the New Orleans Saints. However, Bryant tore his achilles tendon during team practice, two days after signing with the Saints. He was eventually placed on injured reserve, abruptly ending his season without a single appearance for the team.

The 2014 NFL receiving touchdowns leader has recently posted workout videos of him indicating that he is still in shape and in healthy playing condition. Bryant's performance in his workout with the Ravens will dictate if he can finally return to the league in 2020.
