Lamar Jackson knows that while some teams are in the postseason, others are looking for their next leaders to take them to the promised land potentially. The Baltimore Ravens, the AFC's top seed, are watching others try to pluck their offensive coordinator Greg Roman from them.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson wants those other teams, including their rival Cleveland Browns, to “chill.”

“They need to chill out,” Jackson said, via the Baltimore Sun. “We got something to do right now. We need him to focus because we need to focus. We’re trying to get somewhere. Let us do our thing. You guys are going to have y’all turn when season is over with. We’re trying to get somewhere.”

Unfortunately, for Jackson and the Ravens, those wanting to interview Roman don't have to chill. The NFL allows teams to interview assistants of other teams that earn a bye in the playoffs. If a team wants to hand Roman the key to their franchise, he could accept before their playoff run is over and join after.

Roman is a hot coaching candidate and for a good reason. His scheme has allowed Jackson, in his second year in the NFL, to be an MVP candidate and probable winner. 2019 was Roman's first full season with the Ravens, to which his offense led the NFL in points per game with 33.8.

Roman has no prior NFL head coaching experience. However, he has historically done an excellent job with dual threats, including helping Tyrod Taylor and Colin Kaepernick thrive before coming to Baltimore. Considering the want for dual-threat talents in the pros now, he could become a hot commodity.
