Earlier this week, a video of Marcus Peters spitting on Jarvis Landry in the Baltimore Ravens' win over the Cleveland Browns emerged on social media. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Peters has been fined $12,500 for spitting at Landry during the game.

The video that surfaced appears to show Peters walking toward Landry after a play concluded. While he was making his way to Cleveland's wide receiver, Peters seemingly spit in the direction of Landry, sparking controversy between both players.

In response to the video, Landry called Peters a “coward,” saying that Peters wouldn't spit on him face-t0-face. However, Peters denied that he purposely spit on Landry, explaining that if he had an issue with Landry, he would've dealt with it without Landry's back to him.

Of course, similar to most situations like this, the NFL conducted a video investigation of what transpired. Despite Peters refuting the assumption that he spit on Landry on purpose, the league has tabbed the Pro Bowl cornerback for $12,500.

Ever since his days with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in his career, Peters has been known as a cornerback that isn't afraid to talk trash during games. Therefore, there could have been words exchanged in Monday night's game between the Ravens and the Browns.

It was an instant-classic battle between Baltimore and Cleveland on Monday night, with both teams combining for 89 points. With the Ravens and the Browns both focused on making the playoffs, it's apparent that there may be a personal rivalry brewing between Peters and Landry.
