The Baltimore Ravens are expected to throw the ball more with Lamar Jackson under center in 2019. One of the possible candidates to see more targets in the offense is Mark Andrews.

In an article on the Ravens' official site, they stated that Andrews might be a “featured receiving target” in Baltimore's offense this season. Andrews is one of three tight ends who could see a ton of work thrown their way in 2019.

In Andrew's rookie season last year, the third-round pick caught 34 passes for 552 yards and three touchdowns. It's likely that the Ravens don't have an official starting tight end this season. As a result, they will rotate Andrews with Hayden Hurst and Nick Boyle.

Last season, Boyle saw the most snaps of the group with 650, Andrews had 414, and Hurst had just 275. Hurst had a limited number of snaps due to a foot injury he was dealing with. With Boyle being the most capable run blocker of the trio, he will likely start in most games.

The Ravens' offense is heavily run-oriented, which is what Greg Roman loves to do as the offensive coordinator. With that in mind, Boyle will see most of the run-blocking duties, while Andrews can be used as a receiving threat in the passing attack.

Baltimore's season was cut short in the AFC Wild Card Round after the Los Angeles Chargers cracked the code on the Ravens offense. They put up to eight guys in the box to slow down the Ravens rushing attack.

Their offense became too predictable in the end and will need to be able to throw the ball with more effectiveness in 2019. And Andrews, along with the other tight ends figure to play a decent-sized role through the air.
