Baltimore Ravens Terrell Suggs has been one of the best players on the defense for a long time, but there is a chance he could be on a new team next year if the Ravens decide to move on in a new direction. Suggs made it clear after the Ravens loss against the Los Angeles Chargers that he isn't retiring and even though he is a free agent, he hopes to return to Baltimore next year.

“I would love to be a Raven for life. I’m healthy. I feel like I’ve still got some juice in the tank,” Suggs said via the Ravens team website.

Suggs wants it to work out to be back with the Ravens, but if nothing can be worked he wants it to be made clear that he will be playing in the NFL next year.

“It’s up to them. We’ll have to see what happens. It’s a long time between here and March. Hopefully we can work it out, but if not, I’m going to be lining up for somebody next year.”

Suggs played all 16 games this year recording seven sacks, which is his lowest total since 2007. Although the production on the field might have lost a step, he is still the leader of the defense and he is a great locker room presence. After Sunday's game, Suggs said he was proud of the way the team performed and is ready to get to work for next season.

“We showed a lot of resilience,” Suggs said. “Everybody counted us out after we lost three in a row and we were 4-5. … We can take a lot of positives from this season. But we don’t want moral victories. We want glory. We’re going to work, the offseason starts today.”
