The Baltimore Ravens are set to begin organized team activities come next week. While the team looks to get its new roster up to speed, Baltimore is not expecting their young wideouts to take part in it.

Both wide receiver Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin have been nursing injuries this offseason. According to Jeff Zreibec of The Athletic, the Ravens plan to take a cautious approach with their recovery:

Another quick Ravens' note: It's known that 1st-round WR Marquise Brown won't be on field for OTAs next wk as he recovers from Lisfranc surgery; team also expected to be cautious w/3rd-round WR Miles Boykin. Boykin dealing w minor hamstring injury. Team won't take chances in May

Baltimore's plans are certainly understandable. They made quite the investment in their receiving corps this offseason both through free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft. They used their first and third round picks to bring in Brown and Boykin to potentially have an immediate impact. The Ravens' primary concern now is making sure they are as healthy as possible for training camp.

Brown is currently recovering from a Losfranc surgery he had undergone in February. Meanwhile, Boykin is still dealing with a nagging hamstring injury, which is not deemed to be too severe. The wise approach is for both players to be patient for now as they get accustomed to life in the NFL.

The rookie wideouts will have an opportunity to potentially etch out a role in the Ravens' offense moving forward. The team has officially ushered in the Lamar Jackson era and are hoping their new additions can bring some much-needed firepower around their franchise quarterback.
