Real Madrid's stunning comeback against Manchester City in the Champions League Semifinals sent social media into a frenzy. Perhaps no one was more fired up than Philadelphia 76ers star and Real Madrid mega fan, Joel Embiid. The NBA superstar took to Twitter to share his excitement after Real Madrid defied the odds to stage the last-minute comeback and force extra time.

Embiid's tweet translates to “THE COMEBACK #GOMADRID.” What a comeback it was. Real Madrid looked down and out against Manchester City, trailing on aggregate scoring 5-3 in the waning moments of the second leg of the Semifinals. Needing two goals to equalize the score, 21-year-old Brazilian starlet Rodrygo scored a pair of miracle goals to tie things at 5 goals each.

A clumsy challenge from the Manchester City defense in the first half of extra time resulted in a Karim Benzema penalty kick, which he converted masterfully, sealing the win for Real Madrid, who advanced to final on a 6-5 aggregate victory. It was truly a historic comeback, and it's a game that will go down in the club history books. Considering the history and stature of the club, that's quite the accomplishment.

Embiid was incredibly fired up, just like everyone else, and took to Twitter to celebrate his favorite team's astonishing win over the stunned Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. Los Blancos have booked their trip to Paris for the Champions League final, which we're sure Embiid will be tuning into and celebrating even more fervently if Real Madrid is able to defeat Liverpool.
