The Washington Redskins enter the 2020 NFL Draft with the hope that they can finally find a trade partner for Trent Williams. With the draft beginning on Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns and three other teams have emerged as front-runners for Williams.

Prior to the 2019 season, the Browns were a team that has always expressed interest in making a trade for Williams. Therefore, even with a new regime in place, it's not a surprise that their interest hasn't wavered over the past year.

Besides the Browns, the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and Minnesota Vikings have shown the most interest. Seeing that the Eagles are in the same division as Washington, they likely won't be the team that lands the Pro Bowl tackle.

Of course, the Redskins are fixated on making a selection with the No. 2 pick in the draft. Most people assume that Chase Young is going to be the name that is called when Washington announces their pick.

Regardless of who they select, the Redskins will then turn their attention to striking a deal with a team interested in Williams. According to Les Carpenter of the Washington Post, D.C. has been seeking a second-round pick for the veteran left tackle.

Provided that, the Jets, Browns, and Vikings will all be eager to get a deal done, while also keeping their first-round picks. Though, whoever does make a move for Williams, should be prepared to sign him to an extension shortly after.

It's already been predicted that there could be a few surprises in the first round of this year's draft. In the event that the Redskins trade Williams, that could drastically affect what transpires early in the draft.
