The Washington Redskins own the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and Chase Young made it clear that he would love to be selected by them. During his NFL Combine interview, Young was candid about his relationship with Dwayne Haskins.

“Me and Dwayne, we talk all the time,” Young said, via NBC Sports Washington. “I’ve known Dwayne since high school. He definitely loves the organization and obviously, he wants me to come play with him. I just think we’ll see how this whole thing turns out.”

Even though Young didn't outright say he wanted to play for the Redskins, he didn't need to utter those words. Young, a Maryland native, grew up less than an hour away from the nation's capital. Therefore, he was a Redskins fan as he gained an interest in football.

As for his relationship with Haskins, both played together at Ohio State from 2017-2018. But as Young pointed out, he and Haskins have known each other since high school and have maintained their relationship.

Last year, Haskins was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. After a strong showing at the end of the 2019 season, Haskins figures to be the frontrunner to start at quarterback for the Redskins next season.

On the other hand, Young is considered by many — even himself — to be the best player in this year's draft. In his final season at Ohio State, Young was dominant as he notched 16.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles despite being suspended for two games. There's no doubt that Young hopes that he spoke his future into existence when it comes to the Redskins.
