It's been a rough couple of days for Panthers starting quarterback and 2015 MVP Cam Newton.

In the process of Carolina falling to 1-3, Newton suffered a concussion after a brutal hit on Sunday. Now, he's tasked, or at least his lawyers are, to deal with a lawsuit.

Newton allegedly trashed a Beverly Hills mansion he rented for a month after the Super Bowl, causing nearly $100K in damages.

The initial report came from TMZ Sports, but it has since been followed up by the Washington Post.

The property is worth $11 million and was rented to Newton by actress and model Stacy Keibler's husband, Jared Pobre, who manages a luxury real estate company in Los Angeles.

Cam reportedly paid $123k to rent the mansion for 61 days, with the condition that he wouldn't throw any major parties or have more than eight people at the residence at any given time.

By the time he left, a total of $90,324.47 in damages were made, and Pobre has been unsuccessful in getting Cam to pay the bill. After spending two months repairing the mansion, the lawsuit adds up to just over $270K, adding the damage costs to the lost rent in those months.
