Last week, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Ivory was admitted to the hospital with a non-football injury. He missed their first game against the Packers, but after being discharged this week, there was some hope he'd play against the Chargers on Sunday.

That won't be happening.

Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley announced on Friday that Ivory will miss the game in San Diego this weekend as he continues to recover.

There has been no official report on what the medical condition was that caused him to be hospitalized.

Jacksonville will instead lean on second year back T.J. Yeldon, who scored a touchdown but only managed 39 yards on 21 carries against Green Bay.

Ivory should improve the Jaguars' run game once he's healthy. With the Jets, he surpassed the 1,000 yard plateau for the first time last season. He's a punishing runner who finishes runs with a healthy 4.6 yards per carry average in his career. Given the carries, he will produce.
