New Houston Rockets star Russell Westbrook is set to play his first game against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on Monday night. While the game is in Houston, it's obviously still going to be an emotional night for Westbrook, who played the first 11 seasons of his career in Oklahoma City.

Sunday, Westbrook spoke to the media about playing the Thunder for the first time:

The Thunder traded Westbrook to the Rockets not long after trading Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers. Oklahoma City got Chris Paul, two first-round picks and two first-round pick swaps in return.

Westbrook may claim that he's not going to treat this game much differently than any other game, but you have to think there will be a bit more motivation when facing some of his former teammates. He obviously didn't leave the Thunder on bad terms, but it's still fun to take it to your former team, no matter what.

Westbrook's new team is out to a 1-1 start this season. After blowing a big lead in the season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Rockets pulled out an exciting 126-123 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.

Westbrook recorded a triple-double of 28 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds, moving him past Magic Johnson on the NBA's all-time triple-doubles list.
