The New Orleans Saints are in an interesting situation at the moment. As a top team that is playoff bound, they have the luxury of using this time without Drew Brees to look and see what they have in quarterback Taysom Hill.

Ross Jackson, the host of the daily Locked On Saints podcast, discussed why it would be better for the Saints to not play their hall of Fame quarterback anytime soon.

Jackson: I really hope that Drew Brees does not come back right away and that he does take the time that he needs. I am okay not seeing him until Christmas because I kind of do not want to see his first game to be back against the Kansas City Chiefs. I think that would be the game that he would really want to be back for as a competitor. I hope that we do not see Drew Brees come back against Philly because I would love to see just one more game of Taysom Hill (at QB for the Saints).

That would be four games with over 100 passes. Something that would could really look at and say that this is our (Saints) evaluation of Taysom Hill thus far. It is always going to be a continued story and we have to learn more about him moving forward with training camp and things like that. I want to get as much of a head start on this as possible. One of the biggest reasons that I said that I would rather Jameis Winston not start over Taysom Hill is that we have seen Jameis Winston. I do not want that excuse anymore.
