The New Orleans Saints got Drew Brees back last week. Now, they may be getting a couple of other key offensive pieces back in the fold.

According to Mike Triplett of ESPN.com, running back Alvin Kamara and tight end Jared Cook both returned to practice on Wednesday.

Kamara has been sidelined since Week 7 due to knee and ankle issues.

On the season, Kamara has rushed for 373 yards and a touchdown while averaging 4.3 yards per carry. He has also logged 33 catches for 276 yards and a score.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Tennessee, was originally selected by the Saints in the third round (67th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

His NFL career got off to a great start, as he registered 728 yards and eight touchdowns while logging an incredible 6.1 yards per attempt during his rookie campaign. In addition, he hauled in 81 receptions for 826 yards and five scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Then, last season, Kamara racked up 883 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground while catching 81 passes for 709 yards and four scores, earning another Pro Bowl selection.

Meanwhile, Cook has missed the last two games due to an ankle injury of his own.

New Orleans signed him in free agency back in March, and through six contests this year, he has actually been a bit of disappointment, as he has tallied just 15 catches for 168 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

The 32-year-old spent the 2018 campaign with the Oakland Raiders, where he snared 68 balls for 896 yards while reaching the end zone six times.

The Saints are 7-1 on the season and will battle the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
