The selections for the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl were revealed on Tuesday. Among the notable snubs were New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara.

It is not unusual for players to voice their displeasure with the results. Kamara was among those to chime in following the reveal, via Twitter:

It is easy to see why Kamara may be displeased with the results. He may have been looking forward to earning his second consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl following an outstanding rookie campaign. Unfortunately, he is now one of the more notable snubs from the roster.

Although Kamara may not be happy about it, his absence from the Pro Bowl is a bit understandable. The NFC boasts arguably the best running backs in the NFL with Todd Gurley, Ezekiel Elliott, and Saquon Barkley chosen to represent. Each player is among the league leaders at the position and have undoubtedly carried their offenses throughout the season.

Of course, Kamara's numbers are nothing to scoff at. He currently ranks sixth in the NFL in scrimmage yards (1,487) and his 16 touchdowns are second only to Gurley's 21. He and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey have every right to be upset with how the voting turned out.

Regardless, Kamara now has another chip on his shoulder to use as added motivation. Not much was expected from him as a former third-round pick. He can use the final stretch to solidify his status as a bonafide Pro Bowler. Besides, it is safe to assume those in New Orleans are looking to attend a different bowl game at the end of the season.
