The restrictions placed in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) have provided its own set of challenges for players preparing for the 2020 NFL season. Fortunately, it appears New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and quarterback Drew Brees have had no problem getting their rapport going.

Sanders recently posted a video of him working out with Brees on his Instagram story. The workout was reportedly held in Denver along with three other players.

Teams have largely been limited to virtual meetings with their players this offseason due to the ongoing pandemic. However, it is clear that Sanders and Brees were adamant about getting some work in with training camp just a month away.

Sanders signed a two-year deal with the Saints in free agency following a successful stint with the San Francisco 49ers. The veteran played an integral role in sparking their Super Bowl run after finishing the 2019 campaign with 36 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games with the Niners.

The Saints are now hoping Sanders' championship pedigree can help them get over the playoff hump that has plagued them over the last three seasons. Brees already has a No. 1 option in wide receiver Michael Thomas, who has arguably established himself as the best player at his position.

The onus will fall on Sanders to emerge as a bonafide complementary weapon that can help keep the offense balanced while taking the pressure off Thomas.

With Sanders now in the mix, it is safe to say that expectations remain as high as ever going into the 2020 campaign.
