New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is still expected to be out for a few more weeks according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Thomas is battling a lower leg injury from his surgery this past spring. Thomas has been out for nine months and it seems that he needs more time to get into football performance mode.

The Saints have been without their star WR all season, but they haven't performed as many thought without having Thomas. The Saints offense is ranked 10th in points per game at 25.4 and they also have the best red zone scoring rate at 92.9% in all of the NFL.

Rapoport's report indicates that the Saints will be without Thomas at least Another two weeks. His timetable to return seems to be in the weeks of.

Sunday, Nov. 7 vs. Falcons

Sunday, Nov. 14 at Titans

Sunday, Nov. 21 at Eagles.

Meaning Thomas will miss key games versus the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, and a clash vs the defending champions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Saints are 3-2 and have a tough schedule ahead of them. Having Thomas back will be a major addition to an offense that is already putting up impressive numbers.

Thomas from 2016-2019, when he played almost every game those seasons put up over 1000 yards each season, including a leagues best 1725 yards in 2019. In 2018 and 2019 Thomas also led the league in receptions. In 2019 Thomas had an incredible 107.8 yards per game, which was also a leagues best.

Getting Thomas back at full strength is the Saints biggest concern as they look to make a playoff push in the upcoming weeks.
