The 2o22 NFL offseason has begun, as clubs are allowed to negotiate contracts with the players on their roster. For the New Orleans Saints, they needed to make some moves to help out their cap situation. After reaching a deal to reconstruct Michael Thomas' contract, this franchise has set themselves up nicely for free agency.

On Sunday, Thomas sent an inspiring message through social media that should excite the Saints' fanbase. Despite the numerous trade rumors, it sounds like Thomas is excited to remain in New Orleans. After a couple of rough years dealing with injuries, he aims for a big return next season.

It'll be interesting to see how the Saints improve the roster, as they're currently working with one of the worst cap situations in the league. Even so, they found a way to make their superstar receiver happy while increasing the current financial status of the team. Thomas is expected to return at full health next season, providing New Orleans with consistent receiver play once again.

We'll see how the rest of the offseason plays out. If the Saints can find a way to add another talented receiver, the offense suddenly becomes much more dangerous. The quarterback situation is a tad rocky, but many believe Jameis Winston will return as the starting QB.

Although the Saints have multiple holes to fill on offense, they can remain competitive next year with Michael Thomas returning. With the NFC South in shambles, they have a legitimate chance to take over the division once again. Look for the Saints to stay busy, as they can still create a talented roster with limited cap space.
