Through his first two-plus seasons with the New Orleans Saints, wide receiver Michael Thomas has developed into one of the premier players at his position.

Thomas has taken his game to the next level this season as he has taken that the next level putting forth a career-best year that has among the most productive wideouts in the league. According to Pro Football Focus, he has been the most effective player at his position in the red zone in the 2018 campaign.

Thomas has proven to be the complete package wide receiver with his ability to make an impact in all facets of the passing game. He has more than shown to be a possession receiver as he has expanded far beyond that with his big-play ability along with being a huge threat in the red zone that star quarterback Drew Brees can depend on to a great degree in that spot of the field.

The _-year-old has greatly benefitted from the opportunity of playing with a future Hall of Famer in Brees that has helped utilize his playmaking ability in the passing. That has certainly been the case this year as he's currently third in the league with 91 receptions, fourth in 1,120 receiving yards, eighth with eight receiving touchdowns, and fourth with 93.3 receiving yards per contest.

Thomas has posted three games with more than 100 receiving yards including a season-high 211 receiving yards on 12 receptions and a touchdown along with at least four receptions in each of the first 12 games played this year.

Beyond all of that, Thomas has a chance to be a pivotal factor in helping his team make a strong push deep into the playoffs to contend for the Super Bowl. The Saints have an opportunity in front of them secure a first-round playoff bye and possibly the top overall spot in the conference.
