Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson is looking for a fresh start following his tumultuous tenure with the New York Jets. Regardless, he has still garnered the attention of some elite suitors going into the offseason.

Wilkerson has already met with the New Orleans Saints this week. Now the next stop on his free agency tour will be with the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport:

Former Jets DL Mo Wilkerson is leaving Green Bay after his Packers visit and sources say he’s headed to visit the Saints next. That’s an intriguing option for a rapidly improving D.

Wilkerson's production took a bit of a hit in the 2017 NFL season due to his troublesome habits with the Jets. As a result, he recorded just 46 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 13 appearances. However, it should come as no surprise that legitimate contenders are still intrigued by what Wilkerson brings to the table. Despite his disciplinary issues with the Jets, the former two-time Pro Bowler is as solid an option as there is in the NFL.

The Saints certainly put in a strong bid for Wilkerson's services. Aside from recent years, the defense had established themselves as one of the most formidable units in the league last year. Meanwhile, the Packers are starving for more talent on both sides of the ball going into the 2018 NFL season. Needless to say, they will need to make an intriguing offer in order to sway Wilkerson from other competitors. He is also scheduled to meet with the Kansas City Chiefs following his stay in Green Bay.
