The Cincinnati Bengals would like to interview Aaron Glenn for their defensive coordinator job, but it does not look like the New Orleans Saints will allow it.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Saints are expected to block the Bengals from interviewing Glenn, who is currently the Saints's secondary coach.

Glenn just completed his third season as the Saints' secondary coach.

He earned his first NFL coaching job in 2014, where he served as the Cleveland Browns' assistant defensive backs coach. He held that position for two years before being hired by the Saints.

Glenn also served as a personnel scout for the New York Jets for two seasons in 2012 and 2013.

The 46-year-old also had a lengthy NFL playing career. He was originally selected by the Jets in the first round (12th pick overall) of the 1994 NFL Draft and went on to spend the first eight seasons of his career in New York, making two Pro Bowls along the way.

Glenn then landed with the Houston Texans in 2002, making another trip to Honolulu during his first season with the expansion team. He ended up playing three years in Houston overall, and in 2005, he made his way to the Dallas Cowboys, where he played two seasons.

The Humble, Tx. native then spent one year with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007 and then joined the New Orleans Saints for four games in 2008 before putting a period at the end of his NFL tenure.

The Bengals went just 6-10 this past season and have missed the playoffs three years in a row.
