The New Orleans Saints are looking to buff up the wide receivers room ahead of the 2022 NFL season and could turn to an experienced veteran in Jarvis Landry. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Saints brought the free-agent wide receiver in for a visit on Tuesday as they continue to mull making a move for the 29-year-old.

The Saints have a clear need at wide receiver, so bringing in a proven veteran such as Landry would be a great start towards addressing the position. With Michael Thomas coming back to the fold, pairing the two of them alongside Marquez Calloway would make for a solid trio for Jameis Winston to work with.

Fowler also indicated the Browns are interested in a reunion with Landry as they are also hoping to fortify the position after acquiring Deshaun Watson in the offseason. After Odell Beckham Jr. and Landry left the team last year, reinforcements at the position are certainly needed, though they landed Amari Cooper in a trade with the Cowboys.

Last year, Landry featured in 12 games for the Browns. He caught 52 receptions for 570 yards and 2 touchdowns before being released in March. A move to the Saints would make a ton of sense for the 29-year-old, as it would represent a chance for him to get back to the playoffs and play for a potential contender.

It remains to be seen if the Saints will be trying to lock down the wide receiver ahead of the NFL Draft, as they've been linked to various wideouts in the first round this year. Still, the possibility of signing Landry and drafting a wide receiver later on in the draft could be an intriguing route for the team.
