Sometimes life hits you hard.

But it can't hit you much harder than a basketball in the face as you attempt to throw one down in transition like Houston Rockets forward Sam Dekker did during the first quarter of Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks.

The second-year player out of Wisconsin caught an outlet pass and was preparing to dunk, only to slip, lose handle of the ball, and catch the ball right in the face on his way to the floor.

Something tells us he might not live the end of that play for a while in that Houston locker room.
