Don't worry Seattle Seahawks fans, DK Metcalf isn't going anywhere. The star wideout has been looking for a contract extension as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal, which is raising questions about his future with the team.

However, despite not having a new contract yet, Metcalf will participate in the Seahawks' offseason training program, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

This is a good sign for Seattle because often, players without new deals will hold out and not attend. That doesn't seem to be the case for Metcalf. Of course, the Seahawks said they weren't going to trade Russell Wilson, then did. But when it comes to DK, the franchise would be foolish to do so. The Jets apparently wanted to trade the 10th overall pick for Metcalf but the Seahawks denied that offer.

Metcalf didn't have a great 2021 season compared to 2020, grabbing 75 receptions for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns. The year before, he broke the Seahawks' single-season record in receiving yards, posting 1,303 on 83 catches and nine TDs.

It will be interesting to see how DK Metcalf does in 2022 with a new quarterback in Drew Lock. That's unless the Seahawks trade for a Baker Mayfield or even draft one. Nevertheless, he is looking to get paid, which the wideout certainly deserves.
