With the Seattle Seahawks entering rebuild mode — whether they want to admit it or not — opposing teams are keeping tabs open on their best players as possible trade targets. Wide receiver DK Metcalf is one of the most frequently discussed names given his talent and the WR market booming this offseason.

The Seahawks are showing no signs that they want to trade Metcalf. The 2020 Pro Bowler doesn't think he's on his way out. It will take a huge trade to pry the 24-year-old away from Seattle, just as it did for other star wideouts.

ESPN's Brady Henderson suggests that the Seahawks will view two first-round picks as the starting point for a Metcalf trade.

Based on my reporting, I'd guess that they would view something in the neighborhood of two firsts as the minimum for Metcalf. The Seahawks don't have to trade him and can drive a hard bargain.

Two firsts would be a lot considering the two biggest picks that Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill each got traded for were one first-rounder and one second-rounder. Both of them are older than Metcalf but also much better.

Still, Seattle is in no rush to trade Metcalf. They may not be competitive this season but they have no reason to trade their young star right now. The Seahawks, who want to extend his contract, can take their time and find the right pieces for Metcalf to thrive in their new-look offense.
