Throughout the season, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has been working his way through a sprained his MCL that has continued to hamper him.

However, Baldwin has continued to make progress as he was able to go through practice on Friday well that led to him to boast that it is the best he has felt physically since prior to suffering the injury back in OTAs. (h/t Derek Lewis Of 247 Sports)

“No, and I know Pete won’t say it but today is probably the best day I have felt since OTAs,” Baldwin said on Thursday.

This is an encouraging sign for the Seahawks that their top receiving option is beginning to feel healthy, especially at this point of the season. Baldwin's performance on the field has been significantly impacted by the lingering injury that has seen him put up numbers that are a shadow of what has typically posted as he has 35 receptions on 46 targets for 366 receiving yards and a touchdown in nine games played.

The 30-year-old has yet to record a single 100 receiving yard performance while falling to notch more than 50 receiving yards five times this season, including that occurring two out of the last three games played. This has put him 0n pace to finish the season with 51 catches for 532 receiving yards and a touchdown. It would mark his lowest amount of receiving yards since his second year in the league along with being a career-low in touchdowns and third-lowest number of catches in a single season.

The Seahawks has an NFC West divisional matchup at home this week against the San Francisco 49ers where Baldwin could factor in more greatly into the equation. Seattle is currently in the seventh spot in the standings in their playoff chase right behind the Washington Redskins for the final wild-card spot.
