The Seattle Seahawks lost by a few inches on Sunday night versus the San Francisco 49ers and another name was added to the injury report. According to Tom Pelissero, Jaron Brown suffered an MCL sprain versus the 49ers in Week 17.

The Seahawks are becoming extremely thin at wide receiver due to injuries and inexperience. Therefore, Seattle can ill afford to have Brown or anyone else miss an extended period of time in the playoffs.

This season, Brown has hauled in 16 receptions for 220 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games. The veteran wideout has provided depth for the Seahawks at a position that they are in need of moving forward.

With Brown possibly being sidelined David Moore and John Ursua could see an uptick in snaps with the offense. Of course, Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf will continue to lead the way at wide receiver as Seattle treads into the postseason.

Unfortunately for Brown, the Seahawks will have a quick turnaround as they will play the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round. In addition, the game will take place in Philadelphia; giving Brown less time to recover from his injury.

Just a few weeks ago, Josh Gordon was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Provided that, the Seahawks were left with a void at wide receiver alongside Lockett and Metcalf.

Nevertheless, as long as Russell Wilson is under center, the Seahawks will have a chance to win a game. At the least, Seattle still hasn't reached the level of concern that the Eagles have had when it comes to injuries.
