The Seattle Seahawks endured their first losing season since the 2011 campaign. Seattle has become accustomed to success under the leadership of Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson, which is likely why the disappointing results were accompanied by rumors of the organization wanting change, as well as Wilson wanting out. In an appearance on ESPN Radio, Carroll was asked about Wilson's future with the Seahawks, prompting a strong reaction from the veteran head coach.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was asked if he expects Russell Wilson to be back next year- and it was as if the rumors haven't been swirling all year long. Carroll firmly said that Wilson is the Seahawks quarterback and that he “of course” expects the seven-time Pro Bowler to be back next year.

Carroll and Wilson appear to be on the same wavelength, as the star quarterback spoke about his future with the Seahawks recently and expressed a desire to win Super Bowls– plural- in Seattle.

The Wilson-Carroll partnership has seemingly always been in the mix for championships, as the two had rattled off nine straight winning seasons before this year's 7-10 effort.

Carroll added that he plans to speak with Seahawks owner Jody Allen in the next few days. As of right now, no one should be surprised if Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll are pacing the Seahawks sideline together next season.
