The Seattle Seahawks are among the teams that are taking a no-nonsense approach to abide by the NFL's guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Seahawks released rookie Kemah Siverand after video caught him sneaking in a visitor.

In an attempt to prevent any risks pertaining to COVID-19 during training camp, teams in the NFL are having players stay at hotels. Also, teams are trying to limit the number of people that are in the hotel at once. Therefore, unless it's a special exception, players aren't allowed to have guests stay with them.

Nonetheless, Siverand attempted to sneak in a female to his room at Seattle's team hotel. To make the situation even more peculiar, Pelissero reported that the female sported Seahawks gear to try and disguise herself.

After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Siverand signed a rookie contract with the Seahawks. For the two years he attended Oklahoma State in college, Siverand contributed 11 tackles and one fumble recovery.

This offseason, the Seahawks have had multiple incidents involving one of their defensive backs. Back in May, Quinton Dunbar — who the team acquired via trade — had an arrest warrant issued for him due to his alleged involvement in an armed robbery with fellow NFL player Deandre Baker. While Baker is facing four counts of armed robbery, Dunbar returned to the Seahawks recently due to a lack of evidence.

Throughout the offseason, Pete Carroll has preached the sentiment of ‘always protect the team'. Given that, Carroll wasn't going to put up with a player putting himself above the team ahead of the 2020 season.
