Three Silent Hill games are currently being developed under the supervision of Konami, marking the first time they touched the IP since 2014.

After all these years and after the messy situation with Hideo Kojima, it appears that we're finally getting new Silent Hill games out of Konami.

As reported by VGC, there are reportedly three upcoming games under the franchise this year. These three games are as follows:

  • Silent Hill 2 Remake  – a remake of the 2001-classic that is rumored to be in the hands of The Medium's Bloober Team, which, if true, would confirm rumors we've been hearing since June last year.
  • Silent Hill Episodic-Style Narrative-Focused Game – a new approach and treatment to the Silent Hill brand, which is rumored to be worked on by the narrative experts over at Annapurna Interactive. However, the rumors are quite unsure whether Annapurna Interactive is indeed working on the project, or is just one of the developers pitching for the project – like other developers, like Until Dawn's and Dark Pictures' Supermassive were also involved in the rumors.
  • Silent Hill Mainline Game – finally, a new mainline game that is rumored to be in the works internally over at Konami, which will finally add a new game to the franchise's long-ignored franchise.

While these bits of rumors would undoubtedly excite fans, it's still better to take this information with a pinch of salt. None of these have been officially revealed by Konami. So, it's better not to get your hopes up until they have anything official to say about these upcoming new games.
