Philadelphia 76ers All-Star point-forward Ben Simmons says the Sixers fans who were booing the team on Saturday should stay on that side and not cheer for the team once they get things together.

The Sixers lost to the Nets in Game 1 of their first round series. Pretty much from start to finish, Simmons and the rest of his teammates were getting booed by the Philly faithful.

Simmons had a rough game on Saturday. The reigning Rookie of the Year finished with just nine points while shooting 4-of-9 from the field and 1-of-5 from the free-throw line. The lefty was a -21 on the floor.

The Sixers lost by a final score of 111-102 in Game 1. Simmons' lack of a jump shot is going to hurt him in the playoffs since teams are going to pack the paint against him. The 22-year-old will have to make an adjustment in Game 2.

Philadelphia is a tough sports town. The fans expect greatness from their players every night. The Sixers have a really talented team. Many believe they can make the NBA Finals. The performance they put on Saturday, though, was putrid and the fans were clearly upset with it.

The Sixers have to win Game 2 on Monday. They can't afford to go down 0-2.
