Following sitting out his entire first NBA campaign due to a broken foot, Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons has continued to voice much confidence and excitement for this upcoming season.

According to Yaron Weitzman of Bleacher Report Magazine, the 21-year-old has a clear message that he wants to get across the league.

“I want to go in and make sure everybody remembers my name,” he says. “I want to get out there and play where everyone's talking about me.”

Simmons will have an opportunity to accomplish just in his first full season as he's expected to take the starting point guard duties that will allow him to showcase his unique skill set that is highlighted by his passing ability. He has the size of a small forward standing at 6-foot-10 but can ball handle and pass like a point guard with his court vision.

If he's able to excel in that role, it could help him earn much national attention and recognition that he strongly desires. Coming out of college, Simmons was touted as potentially the league's next superstar because of what he offers on the floor that drew comparisons to Hall of Famer Magic Johnson's passing and overall game to that of four-time league MVP LeBron James.

All of this will lie on his shoulders this season to demonstrate with his play on the court that he deserves all the hype and praise around him.
