It took 1,029 days, but Philadelphia 76ers guard Danny Green has finally received his 2019 NBA Championship ring with the Toronto Raptors. Sure enough, he couldn't be happier.

Green got his ring on Thursday when the Sixers visited the Raptors in Canada for the second time this season. He missed the first one last December due to COVID-19, and so he had to wait for a few more months to finally get that opportunity. For what it's worth, he could have gotten his ring earlier–with the Raps offering to deliver it to him or when they played in the bubble and in Tampa Bay–but he wanted to do it in Toronto in front of the fans.

And it's definitely worth the wait.

A day after the memorable presentation, Green took to Twitter to reflect on the moment and to thank the fans and the Raptors organization for making it extra special.

“The Love is always unreal and is reciprocated, wouldn't have done it any other way!” the Sixers sharpshooter wrote.

It's definitely a beautiful moment–one that Danny Green will always remember. Moreover, it could be exactly what the Sixers need to see to fuel their championship dreams.

The Sixers did look like they were motivated all game long, with Green himself dropping 18 points. Joel Embiid also finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while James Harden had 13 points and 15 assists.

Unfortunately, the Raptors still got the last laugh with a big 119-114 win.

Hopefully, though, the Sixers took a lot of other positives from the contest as they now shift their focus on the postseason.
