Joel Embiid is a masterful troll. The Philadelphia 76ers star has made a habit of trolling and poking a little fun at his co-NBA stars. So when it was announced that Ben Simmons has finally been traded to the Brooklyn Nets for James Harden, Embiid's reaction tweet got more than a few laughs out of the NBA Twitter community.

Speaking to reporters after the trade happened, Joel Embiid was asked regarding his tweet after the trade. As always, the Sixers star delivered a masterfully coy answer that had the media room rolling with laughter. (video by @SNYNets on Twitter)

“I saw the picture on the internet and thought he was well dressed”

If you missed the reference, Embiid's tweet was a cropped version of this image, a well-known internet meme. Considering that this meme was the progenitor of the RIPBOZO meme, Sixers Twitter (and really, most of NBA Twitter) exploded when Embiid tweeted this image without context after the trade was completed.

It's no secret that Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons had a rather strained relationship during their time as teammates. The duo were hailed as the saviors of Philadelphia, but they often faltered in the playoffs. Reports of both parties being unhappy with each other ultimately culminated in a trade request from Simmons.

After a patient wait, Daryl Morey finally found a perfect trade for Ben Simmons to maximize their contending window. Embiid, in the meantime, will now continue dominating his opponents on the court and trolling them off of it.
