Philadelphia 76ers All-Star center Joel Embiid will undergo further tests to evaluate soreness in his left knee, including treatment and load management, set to be re-evaluated in one week, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The ensuing MRI revealed no structural damage to his knee, but will sit for the next week for precautionary measures.

Head coach Brett Brown was aware of the soreness the big man had been dealing with. Embiid did look sluggish during his brief time on the court during this weekend's All-Star Game in Charlotte.

“I’ve been aware of it for a few weeks now,” Brown said of Embiid soreness, according to Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice.

The MRI came on Tuesday, revealing Embiid is dealing with tendinitis, but Brown doesn’t believe the All-Star Game impacted it at all. Embiid had a quiet 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting along with 12 boards through 23 minutes of playing time during the mid-February festivities.

Embiid could miss at least three games before his next examination in a short five-day bubble that will see the Sixers take on the Miami Heat, the Portland Trail Blazers and the New Orleans Pelicans. The big man could rejoin them at the back end of a road trip against the Oklahoma City Thunder, or back home on March 2 against the Golden State Warriors, assuming there are no further complications.

News don't get much better for the Sixers, as forward Furkan Korkmaz sustained a meniscus tear after hurting his right knee on Feb. 12 against the Boston Celtics, according to a team release. The team will update after a decision on treatment or surgery has been made.
