The Philadelphia 76ers have signed veteran wing Corey Brewer to a 10-day contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Brewer will be available for Tuesday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves:

The Sixers recently brought in Brewer, among other players, for a workout as they looked to add more depth to the roster. Philly decided on Brewer, a 32-year-old who spent time with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers last season.

Brewer has jumped around the NBA since coming into the league in 2007 as the seventh overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He spent time with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets before the Lakers and Thunder.

Brewer joined OKC last season after LA cut him loose. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 10.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 28.6 minutes per game for the Thunder, with 16 of his 18 regular-season appearances being starts. He averaged 6.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per game during OKC's ill-fated first-round series against the Utah Jazz.

For his career, Brewer holds averages of 8.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 23.3 minutes per game. He's a 42.5 percent shooter overall and just 28.3 percent on 3-pointers, which isn't ideal for a Sixers team in need of shooting.

Still, Philly needed any kind of wing help, so they'll take a look at the veteran Brewer to see if he works out. The Sixers could always move on quickly if things don't work out.

Philly is 28-16 on the season, good for fourth in the Eastern Conference.
