It's every child's dream as the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights face the Dallas Stars in Game 7 on Sunday at the American Airlines Arena. We're here to share our NHL odds series, make a Golden Knights-Stars Game 7 prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

The Golden Knights defeated the Stars 2-0 in Game 6 to force a decisive Game 7. Somehow, it was scoreless through the first two periods. But the Knights broke through in the third when Noah Hanifin picked up the loose puck and broke the ice with great skate work, and flung it past goalie Jake Oettinger. Then, Mark Stone finished it off with an empty-net goal.

Adin Hill was exceptional, stopping all 23 shots he faced. On the other side of the ice, Oettinger stopped 28 of 29 shots but had no help from his offense.

The Knights won 54 percent of their faceoffs, allowing them to get slightly more chances to score, which probably helped give them the upper edge as the game went on. Curiously, there were not many penalties, as the Stars only had one powerplay, and the Knights had two. But the Knights dominated the hits, leveling the Stars 29 times. Yet, the Stars blocked 21 shots.

Why The Golden Knights Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Golden Knights continued to struggle on offense. Despite that, they still managed to win with the scoring they did get in this game, forcing Game 7.

Jack Eichel did not do much in Game 6. Therefore, he remains at three goals and four assists in the series. Eichel has had an up-and-down series in the faceoff circle, winning 50 draws and losing 50. Meanwhile, Brayden McNabb has been solid in this series. McNabb currently has two goals and three assists.

Jonathan Marchessault has been inconsistent in this series. However, he does have two goals and two assists. Hanifin now has two goals and three assists. With the empty-netter, Stone now has three goals. William Karlsson finally got on the scoresheet with an assist on the empty-netter. But he needs to do more to help this offense.

The defense and goaltending have had some exceptional moments. McNabb is not only a force on offense, but he is also a defensive wizard. So far, he has leveled 15 hits and blocked 24 shots (an average of six blocks per game). Alex Pietrangelo blocked four shots in Game 6 and remains amazing at preventing shots from getting to the net. Ultimately, these two will do everything they can to help Adin Hill, who is 1-1 with a 1.55 goals-against average and a save percentage of .933 over two games in this series.

The Golden Knights will cover the spread if their offense can rise to the occasion and generate more chances, which includes winning faceoffs again. Then, they need to continue to clamp down on defense and not allow the Stars to get any chances.

Why The Stars Will Cover The Spread/Win

The offense went silent in Game 6. Now, the pressure is on the offensive playmakers to ensure this team does not go home in front of their beloved fans.

Wyatt Johnston has netted three goals and three assists in this series. Additionally, he has won 34 draws and lost 36. Miro Heiskanen has potted one goal and five assists. Meanwhile, Jason Robertson has tallied three goals and two assists, including two powerplay markers.

But Jamie Benn has suddenly gone missing. While he does have one goal and two assists, he struggled in Game 6, with just one shot. But Benn does have 31 faceoff wins and just 16 losses. Ultimately, Dallas needs more from Evgenii Dadonov, who has two goals and one assist.

The defense has been remarkably good for the majority of the series. Yet, they allowed the Knights to fi]ling 29 shots at Oettinger. That needs to change in order for the Stars to have a chance to win. Despite all that, Oettinger is 3-3 with a 2.10 goals-against average and a save percentage of .921

The Stars will cover the spread if they can generate more chances on offense by winning faceoffs. Then, they need to defend better and not allow Oettinger to face that much danger.

Final Golden Knights-Stars Game 7 Prediction & Pick

Four of the six games have had less than 5.5 goals. Amazingly, both teams continue to play great defense and not allow many chances. It has been a true test of character for both teams. Subsequently, we feel it will continue as both goalies feel the pressure of Game 7, and this thing might go into overtime before someone wins it. This feels like a 2-1 game. The under wins.
