Former professional wrestlers and WWE stars Shawn Michaels and Triple-H approved of Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid doing the DX chop on Wednesday.

Embiid has frequently paid homage to some of his favorite wrestlers throughout the years, and he did so again after an and-1 during Wednesday's win over the Washington Wizards.

Michaels and Triple-H both reacted to Embiid's move on Twitter.

The 76ers star big man does anything and everything he can to get the crowd going, though his play has done quite a bit of the talking this season.

Embiid powered the 76ers to the best record in the Eastern Conference this season. He averaged 28.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists during the regular season en route to being named one of three finalists for league MVP.

Philadelphia has rolled over the Wizards in the first two games without needing too much from Embiid. He played under 30 minutes in both games, with the 76ers cruising to a 25-point victory in Game 2.

Is “The Process” ready to be realized in full this season?

The 76ers were always going to be a favorite against the Wizards. They also figure to be the favorites over the winner of the first-round series between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks.

This would seem to give Philadelphia a pretty decent path to the conference finals. Even still, the 76ers will undoubtedly need Embiid to maintain peak performance and stay healthy as they try to get back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2001.
