The Philadelphia 76ers have a good reason to be having fun this season. And by having fun, that also means doing it on the sidelines and behind a courtside reporter while she is delivering a report. When was the last time the Sixers were this lively?

Those are Robert Covington, Markelle Fultz, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid all clowning around in the background during Wednesday nights’ home game against the Memphis Grizzlies. As evident in that video, the Sixers could afford to act like goofballs because they had an easy time clobbering the Grizzlies. Each of Philly’s starters had at least 13 points with Dario Saric and Robert Covington leading the team with 15 points apiece. It was the Sixers’ fourth victory in a row, which also improved their record to 40-30.

After a few years of spending time as the NBA’s metaphorical representation of a burning dumpster, the Sixers have managed to right their ship this season. One more win and they would have their first non-losing season since 2011. They could lock up that accomplishment this Thursday on the road against the Orlando Magic, as they Sixers also try to fortify their campaign for a home-court advantage.

The Sixers even have a shot at being third in the conference at the end of the regular season as they are only 1.5 games behind of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are the leading drivers of the Sixers’ resurrection. Embiid paces the team with 23.5 points and 11.2 rebounds, while Simmons has been an all-around presence for Philadelphia with his 16.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game.
