Trade rumors surrounding Sixers’ big men Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel have been circulating over the past few weeks, mainly regarding which one of them will be traded away.

Okafor’s trade value has especially been on the rise since being named to the USA Basketball Select Team. While you might think the Sixers would want to keep their best players after years of disappointment, according to The Inquirer's Keith Pompey, the team is more willing to trade whoever would bring them the better deal. Which means, as of right now, Okafor would be most likely to go.

“It's unclear if he'll be a Sixer next season. The Sixers are shopping Okafor and center Nerlens Noel to other NBA teams. The franchise is expected to trade the player who brings them a better deal.”

“Sources have said that the team would prefer to trade Okafor. The Sixers expect to get equal value in return, but it could be hard to do that when every team knows they are looking to unload the big man.”

This all comes within weeks of a rumored trade with the Atlanta Hawks involving Nurlens Noel and Jeff Teague.

While the sources may say the Sixers would prefer to trade Okafor, taking the best deal may include trading Noel given what Sixers are looking to get in return for Okafor.

Whatever they decide to do, the once-great franchise is in a position to help get them back to the top. They will have the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, which takes place in just 10 days.
