After throwing down a vicious dunk over Chris Boucher, Demar DeRozan was given his sixth tech of the season. NBA official Gediminas Petraitis gave Derozan a tech for taunting after staring down Boucher after the dunk. DeRozan is hoping the league rescinds the technical foul.

During a postgame interview with Tom Orsborn of SA Express-News, Derozan expressed that he didn't do anything to receive one.

“I thought there was no reason for a technical foul, honestly,” DeRozan said after practice Tuesday. “I didn’t do nothing, I didn’t say nothing, I didn’t make any warm hand gestures or anything like that. So, it is what it is. Hopefully, I can get it rescinded.”

DeMar DeRozan finished the night off with a game-high 25 points to go along with 4 assists and 8 rebounds.

In the past four games, Derozan has played phenomenally as he averaged 29.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists. He recently just won the NBA’s Western Conference player of the week to make his 11th of his career. For the season, DeRozan is averaging a team-high 22.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.

The Spurs are currently ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 17-21. They've struggled significantly this season, however, they're only a half-game behind the Memphis Grizzlies are the eighth seed. They're seeking to extend their playoff streak to 23 years this season. When they start winning games consistency, they could most certainly stage a run for the lower seeds of the playoffs. They'll be traveling to South Florida on Wednesday to take on the Miami Heat.
