The San Antonio Spurs have been without the services of All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard due to tendinopathy in his right quadriceps.

However, head coach Gregg Popovich stated on Wednesday afternoon that Leonard could make his return during the Spurs' six-game homestand that begins on Nov. 2 against Golden State on through against Chicago on Nov. 11, according to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.

“Sure, anything is possible,” Popovich said after shootaround Wednesday morning. “But I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about when somebody is going to come back. Because they are going to come back when they are ready, when the docs say they are ready. So when that happens, that happens.”

The injury forced Leonard to miss all of the preseason and the first three games of the regular season. The Spurs have been able to perform well in his absence as they are one of four undefeated teams still left in the league behind the former All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge leading the way averaging 24.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

However, Leonard has become a huge part of the team's success over the last several seasons as he has emerged as one of the best two-way players in the NBA and a perennial MVP candidate in the process. He has also become the Spurs' top scoring option after back-to-back campaigns averager more than 21.0 points per game.

It may be a vague timetable that Popovich has provided for Leonard's return, but it's clear that he could likely back on the court in the next couple of weeks.
