Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le'Veon Bell's holdout has leaked over into the middle of the week heading into the season opener against the Cleveland Browns, which has led to several of his teammates finally voicing their frustrations with the situation.

This has seen Pro Bowl offensive lineman David DeCastro vent his frustrations with the situation stating with Bell has made his teammates kind of look foolish and would rather the 26-year-old sat out the entire 2018 campaign.

There is clearly a strong level of disappointment throughout the franchise with how this situation has unfolded over the last couple of months with the deadline having already passed for him to work out a long-term extension with the franchise beyond the 2018 season. Bell has decided to extend this into the week of the season opener that has put his status in jeopardy for the contest as it has put second-year running back James Conner in the position to be a spot starter for however long it may leak over into the regular season.

Although these are some strong comments from DeCastro, it shows how much the team values his presence on the team as he has proven to be a big piece of the puzzle offensively. Bell has developed into arguably the best running back in the team that has shown he can be a huge factor both in the running game and a receiving target in the passing game.

The longer this situation drags out, the more disdain and anger that his teammates may continue to express toward Bell that could make his return quite difficult. It is all on his shoulders to decided when he will end his holdout in order to move past this linger situation that has ever increasingly become a distraction to the team heading into the 2018 season.
