Le'Veon Bell and the Pittsburgh Steelers still haven't been able to reach a contract agreement, and it appears it will be another year that Bell plays under the franchise tag, which also could mean this is the last year that Bell plays in the Steel City. Former Steelers great Jerome Bettis said it's time that the two sides come to an agreement in an interview with TMZ Sports:

“Neither one of you are as good by yourself as you are together.”

Bettis knows that Bell is a great player, but he doesn't think he could have as much success on another team, because of the offense that is around him.

“Le'Veon, you're not going to be as good going somewhere else because they're not going to have the offensive line, they're not going to have the quarterback, the receivers that they have in Pittsburgh. You have a full complement around you that allows you to be as great as you want to be.”

This is probably the last year the Steelers will offer Bell the contract because next year it would just too expensive. If an agreement can't be done, he will hit the open market this coming offseason and there is a good chance he will become the highest paid running back ever. There are a lot of teams looking for a star, and chances are one someone will pay him the cash he is looking for.

He is the best running back in the league. neither side has budged yet on the contract, and unless Bell decides to take less, chances are a deal won't get done.
