With the NFL year officially over, the league sets its sights on a busy offseason. It was fun while it lasted and some stars are sharing some hilarious untold stories of what transpired. Pittsburgh Steelers superstar TJ Watt reveals he was fined a large sum of money in Week 18, for perhaps the dumbest reason of all time.

During an interview on Pardon My Take, Watt explained that the NFL fined him $10,000, “for saying he checked his phone at halftime of Week 18.” There's a reason people refer to it as the No Fun League, as the Steelers' star pass rusher fell victim to a bad fine.

It is funny to think about Rodger Goodell losing his mind over someone checking their phone during halftime. Even if TJ Watt committed this heinous crime, it's not like anyone truly cares. Sure, the rule is in place, but is it really worth a $10k fine? Regardless, the Steelers superstar had to pay it forward after making a simple joke.

At the end of the day, $10k isn't much money for someone like TJ Watt. So the fine isn't really that big of a deal. However, for anyone not rich that would be a detrimental fine to receive. One thing is for sure though, the Steelers star will likely not make a joke like this again.

Now, Watt and the Steelers prepare for a fun offseason as the franchise hopes to find a replacement for Ben Roethlisberger. After coming close to breaking the sack record, we should see TJ Watt in full force next year.
